The Collector’s Edition for When Ordinary Won’t Do!

This urn is made from Maple wood, an American favorite. Best known for syrup and displays of red, orange and yellow each fall, Maples grow throughout the Eastern and Central United States. Trees can reach 130 feet tall and the wood color varies from creamy white to grey to reddish-brown depending on the species. This piece is Spalted, a natural breakdown that produces dark contrasting lines creating dramatic figuring with beautiful results. In addition, this piece exhibits additional decorative design as a result of the Ambrosia beetle. Appropriately referred to as Ambrosia Maple, this wood is highly sought after for wood turning.
